Can my boyfriend pick me up?

he wants to pick me up like in the position where i jump and i have my arms and legs wrapped around him. from the front but im nervous to let him pic me up anyways bc hes very skinny and hes like 6'1 and 145 or 150 and he does track and soccer in highschool so hes very fit but strong but i dont know if he could pick me up im 5'4 and 165 i am in cheerleading so i am also very fit even tho i am a bit heavier i am losing weight but he always tries to pick me up and give me piggy back rides but i am afraid i let my best friend i girl do it who is about 180 ibs and probably has like no muscle but she does it alot do you think hes strong enough?? help i dont wnat him to try and not be able to. i know he can pick up his two friends who are 180 and 190 ibs but picking up a girl with her legs wrapped around the guys waist is different.
