Was this guy a bigot or just weird?

I went to a sports bar with some friends of mine. I was introduced to this guy. We were talking for like an hour and I thought things were going great. Then I told him I was Jewish. After that he said "oh really" in downer sort of way. After that he avoided me for the rest of the night. He sat across the table from me and never made eye contact with me again. Then he left without saying goodbye to me. I would like to think maybe he just wasn't into me but I can't knock the feeling that he suddenly disliked me because I was Jewish.
