Is a species another species or different species? Adaptation is not evolution right?

I would have to agree that by today's definitions adaption and evolution seem to align quite nicely. Now to say that a species BECOMES another species, like a frog becoming a tiger? Uh no. We do reach or full potential however through change as brought about by external influence. People in northern countries develop more hair than equatorial people. Equatorial people develop skin characteristics that help resist the damage from the sun and on and on.
